Ladoga -- Homer L. Damewood, 82, died Sunday morning in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He had been in failing health about two months. He was born June 6, 1888 in Montgomery County to James and Mary McMullen Damewood. He married Nellie Sutherlin on Nov 17, 1912 at Ladoga. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Harry. On April 4, 1963, he married Alice Boze at Crawfordsville. Mr. Damewood was a member of the Ladoga Christian Church and a retired farmer of the Ladoga area. Surviving are his widow, several daughters, Mrs. Richard Shelton of New Ross, Mrs. Tom Holsworth and Mrs. James Hitch of Indianapolis, Mrs. Howard Record of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Lawrence Brown, Mrs. Victor Busenbark and Mrs. Forrest Allen Scott, all of Ladoga; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Shackleford of Vallejo, Calif; 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Rev. Dan Chambers will conduct services at 10;30 a.m. Wednesday in Gephart Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ladoga cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday. - kbz
